As I write this I am sitting in the big Pret a Manger near Leicester Square tube. There’s an annoying man a few tables away talking about the launch to a woman who looks bored. I have bought one of those hot sandwiches so that I can sit here but I have a one hour limit on the wifi (bastards) so I don’t have time to eat it and it is getting cold rapidly. They’ve fucked up my Top Sites as well:
Anyway, THE EVENT. Sorry I didn’t do very well with the livetweeting because it was a bit awkward to be texting tbh. There were a lot of people there. Enough to fill the Odeon Leicester Square. Which is lucky because it was at the Odeon Leicester Square. There were a couple of speeches to begin with (Artistic Director Sandra Hebron seems very nice) and then we watched the clip reel which previewed the majority of the big (or most arty) films.

Come on! That’s an amazing list! I think it is going to be a good festival. Serious. I’ll do a proper thing on it tomorrow.
