Despite a public reaction a few miles south of positive, Revolver Entertainment are bravely soldiering on with their ‘Find the UK’s Real Sleeping Beauty‘ campaign, and according to a press release I received at 6pm yesterday evening, the search may well be over:
“With student fees rising by £9,000 each year, 22-year-old student Sarah Jane Hurst has answered Revolver Entertainment’s call to be the UK’s real Sleeping Beauty and win £1,000.
Studying Archeology & History of Arts at Manchester University, third year student, Sarah is hoping to do an MA in Acting next year. £1,000 will help her to fund her tuition fees, pay off her student debts and stop living off flavour-less noodles.”
… and all she has to do in exchange is imitate a high class escort in a perspex box in the middle of Waterloo Station for twelve hours. Correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t it cost more than £1000 to get a real call girl to do that? Answers to the usual address.
Anyway, if you do want to go and ogle a penniless student in a box, Sarah will be ‘on display’ from 10:30am tomorrow near Platform 10. Feel free to undress and hurl violent abuse through the glass — it’s all part of the experience.
UPDATE: I’m not quite sure where I got the ‘perspex box’ idea from — here’s the actual set-up:
You have to give them points for execution.
