Wes Anderson’s peerlessly symmetrical new movie Moonrise Kingdom (his first live-action feature in five years) has just been confirmed as the opening film at this year’s Cannes Film Festival — a sort of bubbly appetiser for what will inevitably be yet another fortnight of misery and torture. A stunning new poster for the film has also been unveiled, and in super high resolution to boot. Here are five lovely details from this glorious work of art:
A noble deer in a wooded area.
Some beautiful #f9dd4d type.
A grumpy owl on a branch.
Our two leads, played by newcomers Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward.
A deeply sexual Wes Anderson-ised MPAA warning.
