There aren’t enough photo shoots like this one any more

It seems like every interview you read in a movie magazine nowadays is accompanied by an image of an A-list actor standing in front of a sombre grey backdrop, wearing an artfully dishevelled blue shirt and an expression halfway between morose and condescending. I don’t know why we can’t have more photographs like this one, in which Keira Knightley stands in the middle of a white studio with twenty-one red roses hoisted casually over her shoulders and does a little smile.
