Dede Allen, masterful editor of such films as Dog Day Afternoon, Bonnie and Clyde, The Hustler, The Breakfast Club and Reds died on Saturday. One of only a handful of editors recognisable by name, she worked on few films during her sixty-year career but left her unique stamp on each of them.
