You might remember (probably not) that a few months ago I saw World’s Greatest Dad at the world’s greatest screening, but due the world’s most ridiculous embargo I’ve been unable to write about the film until now, even though it came out in the States over a year ago and the internet is already littered with US reviews.
So here’s the review you’ve waited two months to read:
World’s Greatest Dad is a surprising, hilarious and thoroughly satisfying film, whose willingness to take risks makes it feel like a ‘proper’ indie film in a sea of pesudo-independent imitators. Go see it.
And Daryl Sabara (the kid from Spy Kids) is turning into quite the young Jake Gyllenhaal.
