Reminder: the Banksy film is still great

Tuesday September 21st 2010

I went to see Exit Through The Gift Shop at the cinema again last week (the ICA were running it as part of their Art Docs season) and was promptly reminded that it’s still one of the best films of the year.

It’s intelligent, provocative, masterfully executed and solidly enjoyable. And with I’m Still Here bringing pseudo-documentaries even further into the spotlight, it’s ‘very now’.

You’ve missed your chance to catch it on the big screen now, but why not shell out for the Blu-ray and watch it in the comfort of your own home? That way you won’t have to deal with the sort of awful beard-scratchy cunts that littered the screening I was in. OH GAWD, BANKSY IS SO FANTASTICALLY PROVINCIAL. I JUST LOVE HIS FABULOUS GRAFFITI ART WORKS. FUCK THE POLICE.

You get the picture.
