Yesterday afternoon, I was sent a photograph of a possible competition prize by a lovely man at Picturehouse Cinemas. It was basically the image you see above, except that I’ve Photoshopped the aurora borealis into the background to make it more exciting. If you can’t already tell, the prize is a DVD of the a-fucking-mazing stoner comedy Smiley Face, signed (SIGNED!) by director-cum-genius Gregg Araki, AND two tickets to see his even more a-fucking-mazing Mysterious Skin this Saturday at the Ritzy Cinema in Brixton. You’ll have to pick the DVD up from the cinema when you go so don’t bother entering if you can’t make it.
This is all to celebrate the Ritzy’s Totally Fucked Up Retrospective of Araki’s work, which is running from Saturday until next Thursday, and showing a wide range of the director’s films, each accompanied by a specially recorded video introduction. I heartily recommend it (poster quote).
To be in with a chance of winning, just post an interesting fact in the comment space below. No joke facts please, I’m trying to learn here.
