… but I can’t because:
a) the tickets have sold out and no one has got in touch to offer me large sums of money in order to ‘cover’ the event.
b) it’s on my birthday, which is the one day of the year when I wouldn’t choose to sit in the dark and watch trailers for comic book movies.
If you’re not familiar with ‘Movie-Con’, which is now in its 2nd year, it’s basically a mini version of America’s Comic-Con but at the BFI in London and with a couple of hundred Star Trek geeks as opposed to hundreds of thousands.
Last year they had advance screenings of Pineapple Express, Hellboy 2 and Tropic Thunder, as well as various ‘presentations’ and ‘Q&As’.
They haven’t announced the line up for this year yet but if I had to put money on it I’d say District 9, The Final Destination, Inglourious Basterds and Up. Or maybe Jennifer’s Body. But probably not.
