As promised on Tuesday, I’ve got one more competition for you this fine September morning. Courtesy of Picturehouse Cinemas, I’ve got six pairs of tickets to give away for special previews of Tomboy at the FACT Cinema in Liverpool and the Lexi Cinema in London on the morning of Sunday 11th September. To clarify, that’s three pairs of tickets per venue. Ya dig?
Tomboy is a great little film about adolescence, gender identity, burgeoning sexuality and the like, with an astonishing lead performance from 12-year-old Zoé Héran. You may recognise director Céline Sciamma’s name from her debut feature Water Lillies, that French movie with all the swimming and lesbians. (No, not that one, the other one.) Sadly, Tomboy has nothing to do with the 1985 Betsy Russell movie of the same name but hey, you can’t have everything.
To win a pair of tickets, just write either ‘Maybe it’s because I’m a Londoner’ or ‘I was born in Liverpool, down by the docks’ in the comment box below, depending on which city you’re in. It’s first come first served so get commenting.
