A guest review of Me and Orson Welles

Monday November 30th 2009

I’m afraid to say I was a little bit worse for ware when I turned up at the press screening for Richard Linklater’s latest last month, and as a result I can’t remember about two thirds of it. Luckily, I had a colleague with me so I’ve got him to text me a quick mini review:

Yes, that will do. Thanks very much, James McLoughlin.

Does anyone know if Will Smith is up to much at the moment?

Thank the Lord they’re making another I, Robot movie.

And The Billionaire’s Vinegar sounds like an Oscar winner already.

I know this is boring, but…

Greenberg

Saturday November 28th 2009

We’re very very very excited about Greenberg, the one wot is new from Noah Baumbach. It stars Ben Stiller (with some really crap hair) in what could be his first decent role in about twenty or thirty thousand years.

Even more exciting is the fact that it stars Greta Gerwig, or ‘The Mumblequeen’ as we like to call her, in her first mainstream role. She doesn’t even have an photo on her IMDb entry yet so get on the Gerwig bandwagon now while there’s still time to show off about your indie-knowledge-skills.

Here is the trailer.

And so I conclude this post. What more do you expect? It’s a Saturday.
